Courseware Licensing Program
ITSM Academy licenses our courseware and instructor services to training and consulting organizations looking to establish their own ITSM training and certification programs. We also license to corporations seeking a cost effective solution for educating large numbers of learners. To be considered for our program, all partners must be capable of delivering high quality training.
Experts agree that intense hands-on practice drives both in-class interaction and retention. We could not agree more. For the last two decades, we have been uber focused on the criticality of ensuring every learner returns to work the day after class with tangible, practical ideas for incremental improvements. All of our classes include games, exercises, and experiential learning - including I am the Incident.
Taking a "teach them to fish approach", clients are encouraged to designate one or more qualified employees to be groomed by ITSM Academy as internal instructors. Working with our seasoned Supervising Instructors, Trainer Candidates follow a structured Train-the-Trainer (T3) Program. Once the Trainer Candidate successfully completes the program, organizations deliver their own classes, utilizing licensed ITSM Academy Courseware. Our materials include a comprehensive Instructor Kit focused on ensuring a phenomenal experience for both the learners and instructor.
Our Change / Version Control Program embeds learner experience as the primary KPI. All materials are systematically reviewed for improvement. We use both direct feedback from our learners as well as our instructors' observations of what works best in the classroom. This just isn't possible with leased courseware.
While ITIL training providers are being encouraged by the new owners of ITIL to use the "Official Training Materials" as their only deliverable, we know that's not enough. After 20+ years of educating and inspiring, we understand the learner in-class experience is key to the foundation of an organization's investment in ITIL. Since our inception in 2004, ITSM Academy has focused on "Academizing" our Learner Materials, to add games, interaction and - well - fun. Our commitment to this belief is so strong that our Founder, Lisa Schwartz, instead of using CEO, identifies as CXO - Chief Experience Officer.
