Many of the courses in ITSM Academy’s course catalog are accredited certification courses. While ITSM Academy is your education provider, exams are managed and delivered through Examination Institutes (EIs). Examination Institutes deliver certification exams and maintain certification programs.
ITIL, DevOps Institute exams are managed by PeopleCert.
Certified Process Design Engineer (CPDE), ITSM for DevOps (ITSM4DO), Value Stream Mapping Fundamentals (VSMF) exams are managed through Gauge by Test.com.

Prerequisite Certifications
Many ITSM Academy courses require a prerequisite certification. When taking a certification exam that has mandatory prerequisite(s), exam institutes will not release your results until you submit your prerequisite certificate(s). For privacy reasons, ITSM Academy cannot obtain a copy of a certification on behalf of our learners. You will need to work directly with PeopleCert.

Can I get a mock exam or exam insurance?
Yes! Purchase PeopleCert Plus Annual Membership for free retakes, mock exams*, CPD points, and resources. *Mock exams not yet available for DOI products.
What is PeopleCert Plus Annual Membership?

How can I get a copy or proof of my ITIL certificate(s)?
If you took your exam with PeopleCert, log into your account and click on ‘My Certifications’.
For exams with other institutes, submit a copy or evidence to PeopleCert. You can verify your status using the AXELOS Successful Candidates Register.
If not listed, follow the instructions on that page, there is a Candidate Verification Form to download, complete, and email back to them.
How can I get a copy or proof of my DevOps Institute certificate(s)?
If you earned your DOI cert prior to 2023, log into your PeopleCert account and go to ‘My Certifications’. Still unsure? Email customerservice@peoplecert.org.
How do I register for my PeopleCert exam?
Log into your PeopleCert account, enter your voucher code under ‘Register for your exam’, and follow the steps. Tip: Book early, reschedule if needed.
How will I receive my voucher for my online exam?
You’ll receive it via email from PeopleCert the week of your class. Tip: Check spam folders and make sure you check the right email account.
How can I renew my exam voucher before it expires?
If your voucher is still valid and the exam isn’t scheduled, visit our renewal page for more info and processing.
How can I purchase a new exam voucher?

How can I appear in the AXELOS Successful Candidates Register?
During registration, or later in your PeopleCert account, check the box under ‘My Certificates’ to be listed publicly.
How do I prepare for my online exam?
Use a PC or Mac, ensure a stable internet connection, and review the candidate guidelines. Test your setup 24 hours in advance via PeopleCert’s Web Based Exam Driver.
What if I can’t meet the technical requirements?
Try a library or an alternate location. As a last resort, contact us for a physical exam setup (fees will apply).

All ITSM Academy/Gauge classes provides one free retake. If you were not successful on your first attempt, log back into the platform and use your retake. If you would like to purchase additional exams, you can purchase another voucher. Allow 1-2 business days for processing.
How do I register for my Gauge exam?
Your instructor will provide a link on day one for sample and live exams.
What are the technical requirements for Gauge exams?
Log in and run the browser test from the Main Portal Page. Scroll to the bottom for Browser Compatibility Check.

Privacy
I’m concerned about privacy. Why do the Exam Institutes require my personally identifiable information? Further, why do they need to see me during the exam?
The Exam Institutes and ITSM Academy are concerned about your privacy as well. We can assure you that once collected, this information is not distributed to any outside source, not even to ITSM Academy. Information, such as your Photo ID number is used to verify that it is you taking the exam, and not someone else, and also to ensure that no one but the people or organizations you choose can access your personal certifications. Visibility into your test space is required to ensure that there are no study aids or people that may aid with the exam within the vicinity. Keep in mind, these requirements are just like the ones you would have at a testing facility.
